Alcan Packaging is a world leader in specialty packaging serving the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and medical, beauty and tobacco markets. Alcan Packaging strives to deliver the highest quality packaging products and services to its clientele.
Client's Need
A targeted sales piece for Alcan Packaging's blister packaging prototyping services department. The piece would need to be tech-heavy in content, while simultaneously injecting a mechanical process-based service with humanity, excitement and energy. It would have to project the modern, global culture of the company, while maintaining Alcan's strict branding guidelines.
Our Solution
A short-form promotional video DVD produced to act as either a stand-alone or presentation support sales piece. At the start, the piece positions the strength of the Alcan brand, its history as a leading pioneer, and the quality of its services. It then details the blister packaging prototyping process, its benefits, its flexibilty, and more.
Video and photography were taken of the Shelbyville plant and its shop floor, labs, and offices. To represent what occurs underneath the safety casing of the prototyping machines, FluidMedia created CGI (computer-generated imagery) animation that would simulate and best illustrate the coldform blister process.
The music used in this video was created by FluidMedia. The use of key Alcan sales personnel for voiceover narration helped to make the video more personal to the targeted audience of this video. Almost all of the intended viewers of the promo DVD recognized the voice as their customer representative / primary sales provider.
